The 2026 NRL National Rugby League, season kickoff was in Las Vegas Nevada on Sunday February 28 at 8:30 between the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and the St. George Illawarra Dragons. Both teams traveled all the way from Australia to Las Vegas for the game the NRL is trying to generate more fans in the US. This game was a fierce true competitive between the Bulldogs and the Dragons. The leading player for the game was Stephen Crichton who is the acting captain of the Bulldogs.  Early in the game, he used his speed and footwork to break the defensive line and helped create excellent field position for his team. Throughout the match, Crichton made several tackles, including key line-saving ones, and prevented potential scoring opportunities for the Dragons. In the second half, he and another teammate contributed by attacking and breaking the line and making offloads under pressure. When an offload happens it’s when a player is being tackled by the opposing team when one player has the ball, he has to release it immediately to his teammate creating chances for the teammate to run.
