Who is Danie?

Danie is a third-year Digital Media student with a love for sports and aspirations to become a sports broadcaster. You may hear her throughout the student union, or you may see her on the baseball field. However, like many college students, this was not the path she took initially. Danie attended a private institution in Georgia where she pursued a degree in journalism, and things did not quite work out.

College is not always easy. It takes trial and error for some to find what drives them, and Danie found hers in Digital Media. With the mindset that you can amount to anything if you truly want it, she plans on graduating with a Masters degree in the future. Until then, Danie is a valued and skilled member of the Commodore Productions team and a Radio Host on our student-run radio station, The Alternation.

If you are interested in any of the work Danie does around the college, you can catch her in the fishbowl studio, Monday thru Thursday from 2-3 pm, and tune into her show The Grey.

Likewise, fellow sports fans would enjoy Danie’s updates and content for the Commodores Baseball team on Twitter and Commodore Waves, a student-run website at Gulf Coast State College.
