Panama City, FL– TRiO at Gulf Coast State College is set to celebrate National TRiO Day February 21-22, 2024, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm CST on the Gulf Coast Panama City Campus.

This event coincides with the nationwide observance of National TRiO Day on February 25, 2024, and recognizes the impact of federally-funded TRiO programs in assisting students in overcoming economic, social, academic, and cultural barriers to higher education.

“National TRiO Day is an event to highlight the contributions of the TRiO program and the role it’s served in supporting the educational goals of individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds,” said Kris Hatcher, Executive Director of TRiO Programs at GCSC. “Our programming empowers these students to receive a quality education and lead lives of self-sufficiency and success. That is worth celebrating.”

The event at Gulf Coast State College will feature two days of student activities and celebration. Current and prospective students and the community and encouraged to participate and learn more about TRiO’s services.
