Want free money for college? The Gulf Coast State College Foundation scholarships can help you out. Every year, the GCSC Foundation offers scholarships to current and future Gulf Coast students. The organization is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2021-2022 school year. As a student who has received a scholarship from the Foundation, I can attest that the Foundation is very generous and helped lighten the load of my tuition cost. Since the Foundation has been such a blessing to me, I want to spread the word about the good they do and show you how to apply for scholarships!

How Do I Apply?

To be eligible, students must have a myGCSC account, a Gulf Coast student email, a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher, and be enrolled in at least three credit hours of classes during the 2021-2022 school year. Students can apply for scholarships until March 15, but it never hurts to apply early! Filling out the Foundation application is a simple process, and you can find the steps on the GCSC Foundation’s website by clicking the link here. To access the application, students can find the Foundation’s Application and Awards portal when they log in to their myGCSC account. Last, but certainly not least, students are required to write two short essays for their application.

Wait! What If I Don’t Like Writing?

Don’t like writing? No problem! The tutors at Gulf Coast’s Writing and Reading Lab are happy to help students polish their essays. The Writing and Reading Lab serves Gulf Coast students both on campus and online. You can find out more information about their tutoring services on their website by clicking the link here. And remember: although it may not always be fun, the time spent writing will be well worth it in the end. So write well and snag those scholarships!

If you want an easy way to get cash for school, look no further than the GCSC Foundation scholarships. Students often are not aware of the wealth of scholarship opportunities available to them, so make sure you don’t miss out on these!
