Two GCSC students won 1st Place in Harley Davidson’s 1st Annual Digital Media Competition, on January 24, 2019, at the Holly Center at Florida State University. Freshman’s Alex Christodoulou and Emma Hobbs, both Digital Media majors, won a cash prize and riding certifications, for their video submission.

Harley-Davidson of Panama City Beach teamed up with FSU Panama City Campus and Gulf Coast State College, inspiring two Digital Media and Marketing teams from these schools to create a Video Commercial that best depicts the Harley-Davidson Student Lifestyle!

The videos were judged on script, creativity, organization, delivery and impact, which was no small feat, considering the process was blindsided by Hurricane Michael, forcing the project to be postponed.

“We knew we had a good product, and were determined to complete it”, Emma says, delighted that her team’s hard work and dedication was recognized and rewarded. Alex shares his excitement about sparking a “big rider presence on campus”.

I am currently a student of Digital Multimedia, and one of the many “Senior” students here at Gulf Coast State College. After living a full life, which included raising 5 children (and 7 grandchildren, to date), I finally had time and opportunity to do something that was just for me. I am an aspiring web designer that is deciding on the direction my career will take., while enjoying all of the different studies within the field. I have a million hobbies, which include writing, collecting dolls, crocheting, and crafting. I enjoy DIY projects with family and friends. Anything that involves creativity, I probably like.
