Terrance J. Gore born in Macon, Georgia attended high school in Gray, Georgia, where he starred in baseball and football as a  running back and wide receiver. During his senior year, Gore compiled over 1,000 rushing yards and averaged over nine yards per carry. During his four years playing baseball in high school, he stole 145 bases and hit .474 as a senior.

Gore later attended Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City during the 2010-2011  school year, after turning down football scholarships from the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech. Gore spent one season at Gulf Coast, hitting .330 and had 51 steals in 54 attempts.

Gore was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 20th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft by the Kansas City Royals out of Gulf Coast Community College.

On August 31, 2014, Gore was promoted to the Royals. Gore is the 16th player in Major League Baseball history to wear #0. He is the second Royal to wear the number after George Scott, Jr.

He is used primarily as a designated pinch runner known as the Speedster.

Gore appeared on the 2015 ALDS and 2015 ALCS roster for the Royals, but not the World Series roster. Regardless, Gore received his first World Series ring for his performance in the playoffs.

In April of this year, the Kansas City Royals announced roster. While there were not many surprises, but there was a notable name on the bench it is the speedster Terrance Gore, who made the roster when Jorge Soler, was placed on the disabled list to begin the 2017 season.

Gore really became known during the Royals two postseason runs, as he served as a pinch runner extraordinaire. Invoking the memory of Herb Washington, Gore has appeared in eight postseason games, scoring two runs and stealing four of five bases without making one trip to the plate. He has a similar profile in the regular season, with just nine trips to the plate in 37 games. He was yet to get a hit, he has scored 12 runs and stolen 19 bases.

Gore has a lifetime .243/.342/.273 batting line, with just 36 extra base hits in his 1806 trips to plate up to this point in his career. His speed has been quite evident, as he has stolen 251 bases in six seasons.
