Last weekend The Gulf Coast State College Commodores played against The Chattahoochee Valley Community College Pirates. They played two games on Saturday March 1st. The Commodores won both games against the Pirates. The first game they won five to one and the second game they won eleven to one.

Game One Pitching
Cooper Whited was the first one on the pitcher’s mound for The Commodores. He surrendered only one hit and zero runs for The Commodores during the three and one-third innings he played. Whited’s overall stats so far for the season are total innings pitched 26.2, total batters faced 103, total pitches thrown 416, total strikeouts 34, strikeouts looking 9, losses 2, wins 1, saves 0.
Ka’olu Holt was a relief pitcher, and he pitched for three innings. He struck out five batters and walked three. Holt’s overall stats so far for the season are total innings pitched 22, total batters faced 93, total pitches thrown 330, total strikeouts 26, strikeouts looking 12, losses 1, wins 3, saves 1.
Jacob Price earned the win for Gulf Coast State College in the first game. Price was a relief pitcher, and he pitched for two-thirds of an inning. He surrendered zero hits and zero runs during his time on the mound. Price’s overall stats so far this season are total innings pitched 14, total batters faced 49, total pitches thrown 170, total strikeouts 18, strikeouts looking 4, losses 0, wins 2, saves 0.

Game One Batting
The Commodores gathered 11 hits in total during the game and they scored 5 runs. Brody Langlotz was able to bat in 3 runs for the Commodores. Alex McCranie made a hit every time he was up at the plate getting 3 for 3. McCranie collected the most hits for the Commodores during the game. Jackson McKenzie and Jack Reynolds also made multiple hits during the game Saturday.

Game Two Pitching
Jordan Martinez got the Commodores the win for the second game. He only gave up one hit and one run. Martinez did not walk a single batter, and he struck out 8 over the five innings he played. His overall stats so far for the season are total innings pitched 27, total batters faced 105, total pitches thrown 384, total strikeouts 40, strikeouts looking 11, losses 0, wins 5, saves 0.
Ben Clenney was a relief pitcher for the Commodores. Clenney’s overall stats so far for the season are total innings pitched 8, total batters faced 34, total pitches thrown 103, total strikeouts 9, strikeouts looking 3, losses 1, wins 1, saves 2.
Eze Rojas was also a relief pitcher for the Commodores. Rojas’ overall stats so far for the season are total innings pitched 9, total batters faced 34, total pitches thrown 158, total strikeouts 13, strikeouts looking 4, losses 0, wins 0, saves 3.

Game Two Batting
The Commodores collected 15 hits during the game. Three hits were collected each by Andrew Johnson, Brody Langlotz, Alex McCranie, and Erimel Rosado. Carrington Aaron made two hits during the game. Jacob Payne and Langlotz all scored a home run and McCranie scored two during the game. The team’s overall batting average for the season so far is .261.
