Upon closing this chapter of “importance of balance”, Tom Climer, a Walmart associate, agreed to be interviewed on his views on balance. “A Lot of it is , if you want to do things you can’t spend every penny you get- so its priorities … just know what you want out of life . we wanted to travel and spend time together , everything we’ve done was a means to that end.”, through personal balance (having a clear goal in mind) Tom has gone through life with determination.

Once he married his wife he had gotten a job at costco and made enough money to live within his means. Buying cars he could afford and bought a house under their estimated budget. His wife and he had a goal to travel and spend as much time together as possible so they stuck with a home they can renovate and cars they can maintain. For six years he did this – after the six years he launched a real estate business with the extra money he saved up. That lasted for another six years, his wife began teaching and had summers off and naturally he wanted to have the same luxury. So he began school to share summers off with his wife, every 15 minutes and during lunch break Tom found himself at the school finishing up assignments and attending class. On the weekends he spent 8-10 hours finishing homework. For three years this went on. During tax season though he had two teenage daughters he never filed for dependency and collected tax refund checks to travel with his family. After graduating school he and his wife with his second daughter moved to hawaii to teach there for a year and a half. They then moved to the middle east for another year. Though his schedule has freed up through the years his employment at Walmart is only for a few years until he and his wife retires in the home they are now renovating.

Through the years he remained true to his goal, wellness, and faith. This reason for doing things he felt made his happy was “im christian and i believe if i do everything god will approve of im taken care of .”
