Press Release from Brittany Weisensale
Port St. Joe, FL– Gulf Coast State College (GCSC) is proud to announce the 2025 recipients of the Pathways to Success Scholarship, a program designed to support students in their transition from high school to college. Since its inception in 2016, the scholarship has promoted college readiness and mentorship for students in Gulf and Franklin counties.
The Pathways to Success Scholarship is the result of a strong collaboration between the Alfred I. duPont Foundation, Gulf Coast State College, the Gulf Coast State College Foundation, the Franklin County School District, and the Gulf County School District. This program supports first-generation college students who demonstrate academic achievement, personal integrity, and meaningful involvement in their schools and communities.
This year, GCSC is honored to recognize three outstanding students who exemplify these values:

- Hunter Ard, Franklin County High School
- Aydan Davis, Port St. Joe High School
These students will be recognized during the Gulf Coast State College Board of Trustees meeting on May 15, 2025, at the Gulf/Franklin Campus.
