For the car girls and guys, we all love the sound of a good engine. If you ever brought home a sports car, you no doubt were ecstatic to hear the engine for the first time. But sometimes, the engine doesn’t exactly meet up with your expectations. Good thing for you, there is some ways to advance your engines capabilities.

For starters, it may help to explain how car engines work. For basic engines, a piston moves down, creating a vacuum, which then allows pressurized air to be drawn into the combustion chamber. Combined with fuel, this forms a unit of energy which is transformed into kinetic energy, or in other words, horsepower. From there, a combustion happens, and the car now has fuel to move. So, what can you modify to improve your car’s performance?

One way is to install a supercharger. Superchargers pressurize the air to above the normal atmospheric level, so that more air can go into the engine. This will provide it with more fuel to produce more power. A supercharger is powered by a belt or chain from the crankshaft, the supercharger spins at a rate of 50,000 RPM in order to force air into the combustion chamber. With superchargers, you are getting around fifty percent more horsepower. It’s important to notice that some modifications may void your cars warranty. Be sure to follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions!
